Traditional Dip Pen

A set of three Wild Studio inks made from locally harvested plant materials and Acacia Gum, plus a traditional, metal-nibbed dip pen.
 
We are excited to be able to make available some of our favourite tannin-based inks. This set of three includes dark brown walnut ink, reddish-brown avocado stone ink and warm yellow-brown alder cone ink. We have hand crafted these inks in small batches, and packaged them in 45 ml glass jars with metal lids. They are perfect for writing, line drawing or use with a brush.  A traditional metal-nibbed dip pen is included in the set. 

What we love about these inks: 
Along with the warm, earthy tones, we love how the fine natural sediment in these inks creates a beautiful edge to pen and brush strokes, giving a very unique style to scriptwork and drawings. Unlike the uniformity of synthetic inks, our natural inks give subtle variations and an ageless feel. They are a joy to work with. Best used with a dip pen or brush. These inks are water-based, and can be diluted slightly with water or gum arabic if desired. Clean up with water.
